The London Orchard Project

Hello

Just a quick brief on what is happening here.

Lo and behold the council need to do a consultation of the residents about the orchard. Their plan is to cut down old trees and plant new ones.

Now it is too late and the council will add this to their plans next year.

Carina at the London Orchard Project would like to find some possible space in Islington to grow an orchard.

Children's Books in the Transition Library

The Transition Highbury Library now stocks Green Titles for Children.
"10 Things i can do to help my World","Herb the Vegetarian Dragon" and "The Beeman" are among the books we are now proud to stock.
We welcome book donations .

Robert Barker

New local service, www.farm-direct.com

Hi All,

My name is Robert Barker, and I have just started a new lcoal service called www.farm-direct.com.

The service is exclusive to Islington, and aims to enable local residents to buy more produce from their local farmers on a weekly basis.

The service allows people to order produce from 14 participating local farmers / food producers, anytime upto Thursday 1pm each week, and then they can recieve their order anytime over the weekend from 9am on a Saturday morning. Their are two ways that… Continue

A place to prepare for the changes to our world with Climate Change and our changing energy landscape.

We have regular film nights in Highbury Barn, socials at the White Swan with Islington Green Drinks and host the Transition Library which is open to all.

We have frequent informal sessions at Olden Gardens called Transition Tuesdays
